FLUORIDATION NEWS ALERT
CHICAGO & SURROUNDING AREAS:
YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! April 29, 2005
The American Dental Association (ADA) and the Centers for
Disease Control (CDC) have jointly planned an opening ceremony
to "kick off" a National Fluoridation Symposium in
Chicago,
Illinois,
July 13th-16th, 2005,
to "celebrate" the 60th anniversary of fluoridation. Their
objective: mandatory universal fluoridation of the U.S. and
all-out promotion of fluoridation throughout the country.
Our voices must be heard. on this crucial issue. We are
asking for your support and participation at our
non-confrontational presence at this July convention. It is
important to have as many attend as possible, especially at
the opening ceremony by the pro-fluoridation planners, to take
place on Wednesday, July 13th, at Millennium Park, Chase
Promenade South,
Chicago,
from
10:00 A.M.
to
noon. We also need people to remain for the balance of the
convention, at ADA Headquarters, 211 East Chicago Ave.,
Chicago, to help represent the hundreds of thousands of people
who oppose the forcing of fluoride chemicals into our water.
Dr. Paul Connett, Ph.D., Professor of Chemistry, of the
Fluoride Action Network (FAN) has agreed to be the Chairman
for our opposing representation at this event. Our National
Health Federation and the New York State Coalition Opposed to
Fluoridation are among other concerned organizations
participating in this project.
The press is expected to be there and this is our opportunity
for national exposure to raise the awareness to a general
public, who is receiving biased information on fluoridation.
It is urgent to have people there, to display signs, hand out
literature, speak to people and reporters, and protest the
contamination of our public drinking water with fluoride
chemicals.
This 60th fluoridation “anniversary party" should sound the
alarm for all those informed of fluoride's harmful effects.
Please mark your calendars for
July 13th to 16th, 2005
and spread the word to others and, most importantly, show your
support by attending. Our sincere appreciation to those who
can attend and be part of the plans and the nucleus needed.
May we suggest that you also write your federal and state
legislators and protest this 60th anniversary honoring and
promoting fluoridation.
Please respond as quickly as possible, that we may count on
you.
