Senators McCain & Dorgan are trying to gut the DSHEA of 1994 by a bill which creates a Euro-style "positive list" of "acceptable" new dietary ingredients, gives the FDA immediate recall rights over products, and places new burdens on dietary supplements not required by any other food class. Help us kill this bill immediately.

This dangerous Senate Bill will give the Federal government control over all water everywhere, including private lands and wells, and ignores State water law authority and the 5th amendment.

With this government controlled Health Care-the Feds make your decisions, they mandate all individuals to buy insurance, fine/jail upon refusal-all are against the U.S. Constitution. Act now to defeat this violation of personal liberty.

Rep. Waxman & Rep. Dingell introduced this bill (now has 5 cosponsors) under the guise of improving food safety but it will give enormous power to the FDA over food producers and farmers.

This legislation would make it illegal for any practitioner other than a licensed dietitian to teach, consult, or advise about health, nutrition, supplements, diet, food, or food materials. If the bills pass one does not even have to be compensated to be in violation of the law.

Act on this poorly titled, self-serving, pharmaceutical industry "Citizen Petition" which would reclassify all dietary-supplement weight-loss claims as disease claims.

It is critical that consumers push to amend this proposed bill to exempt its application to dietary supplements, or there will be more regulation, higher costs for supplement manufacturers (domestic/foreign), and higher costs for consumers.

The B-6 regulation of classifying this dietary supplement form as a "drug" is still tentative and not yet final. Pressure your representatives to rescind this regulatory action of banning vitamins by reclassifying them as "drugs."
