Acting President, National Health
Federation
December 2006
I now can imagine how
President Ford or President Johnson must have felt after
receiving a post they hadn't run for. I wasn't prepared for
the recent news that, after Maureen Salaman's death, I had
become acting president of the National Health Federation (NHF)
- an organization that has done more for me than anyone else.
It began years ago when NHF
members were asked to write letters on my behalf to then
Governor Jerry Brown (who was into nutrition himself). I had
been wrongfully convicted of a conspiracy to commit a
misdemeanor, which in the State of California is a felony.
The charge leveled against me was that I had been using
laetrile to treat the nutritional needs of cancer patients.
Laetrile is an interesting and useful food supplement that
increases the appetite and mood of cancer patients while
alleviating their pain. These beneficial effects were noted
by the State Cancer Advisory Commission as long ago as the
mid-fifties.
It was in 1982 that 15,000
letters found their way to the Governor's desk from the NHF
faithful, including letters from, among others, our recently
deceased president Maureen Salaman. I would not have been
able to practice medicine once again if that pardon had not
been granted, and I will always be extremely grateful to this
organization because of that.
I was granted a full and
unconditional pardon but even so I have had to battle the
establishment for the right to use dark-field microscopy,
which they said would be appropriate if used in a laboratory
setting but not in a private practice. They stated that
"bowel toxemia" didn't exist even though it is in the medical
dictionary, and there is a laboratory test for it and for
diagnosing hypothyroidism without the "benefit" of a blood
test (i.e., using auxiliary temperature testing instead). I
sued the Medical Board in court for a number of reasons, not
the least of which was the probation officer insisting that I
bid on his daughter's 4-H cow to the tune of $2500. The board
eventually dropped all charges.
Nutritional doctors
throughout the country are fighting a constant battle for our
basic health rights as well as for their own right to continue
practicing nutritional medicine. A few years ago I wrote a
book entitled Silent Clots, which included statements
made by my political co-author about self-styled "Quackbuster"
Steven Barrett. Barrett sued both of us for statements that
were in the book but it never went to trial as the charges
were filed too late and the case was dismissed.
In a recent medical-board
case, the dark-field microscopy test – which helps identify
excess clotting – was again vilified. Expert testimony given
in that case by David Berg, who heads up Hemex Laboratories, a
company that evaluates blood clotting, resulted in yet another
win for our side, further solidifying the scientific and
medical credibility of dark-field microscopy.
Why do I think clotting is so
important and that all the legal battles surrounding this
medical issue are worth it? It's simple – because clotting
causes heart attacks and strokes. Randomly checking the
medical charts of some 100 of my medical patients upon whom we
have done this simple and inexpensive dark-field microscopy
test, we found that 1 out of 3 of them have excess clotting!
That number is truly an epidemic.
So many lives could be saved
with the health knowledge that already exists and the freedom
to use that knowledge . . . but that may not be what the
"powers to be" really want for us. Have you ever wondered why
we are in these seemingly-constant battles for our health
freedoms?
I am suggesting that you all
google "population control" and go to
www.radioliberty.com.
Take the time, too, to read what Dr. Stanley Monteith has
written about how the United Nations did not help Rwanda
because of an expressed desire to reduce the World's
population. I suggest that you also read Dr. Monteith's book,
The Brotherhood of Darkness. In it, he writes of many
organizations like the Bilderbergers and the Council on
Foreign Relations that all work together against our vision of
freedom.
Margaret Sanger started
Planned Parenthood for the same reason – population control.
Dr. Ken Horowitz (www.tetrahedron.com)
wrote the book, Emerging Viruses, Aids and Ebola. In
it, he notes how manufactured viruses are being used to reduce
the population.
Not only are the manufactured
viruses killing us, but there are also numerous carcinogenic
substances that we are exposed to daily. Fluoride is one of
them, and it is not only carcinogenic but it makes people
submissive. Did you know that the drug Prozac contains
fluoride as does its cousin Paxil? A patient of mine, a woman
in her 30s, came down with melanoma a few months after
starting Prozac. Although I have no proof, I strongly suspect
that Prozac was the cause.
The carcinogenic product
NutriSweet (aspartame) was not getting approved for general
use until Donald Rumsfeld, who headed up Searle, the company
that manufactures it, got it approved for commercial use. In
my opinion, it causes "beautiful" brain cancer in animals; and
since its use began, there has been a 10% increase in human
brain cancers.
The National Health
Federation has a great website, www.thenhf.com, which
informs you regularly of important issues. One of the best
ways to evaluate how good or hard hitting an organization is,
is to see what the enemy says. You can look up the
Quackbuster website and read what they say about us and why we
are constantly waging these wars against the establishment.
Also keep informed about CODEX. Our own board members Scott
Tips and Englishman Paul Taylor attend most of the important
Codex Alimentarius meetings in Europe and other parts of the
World. Our precious president Maureen extolled the benefits
of nutrition on her weekly television show and we will miss
her, but we will continue keeping you informed. We are asking
for your continued support of the best health-freedom
organization out there, the National Health Federation.
