Pamela Gerry

BOARD MEMBER INTROSPECTIVE:

Pamela Gerry RN, CCT

Pamela grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts.  She attended Boston State College, and graduated from Whidden Nursing School, affiliated with Northeastern University, in 1975.  Her clinical nursing experience includes positions held in Neurology, Emergency Room, Obstetrics, Psychology, and Geriatrics.

Disillusioned with conventional medical palliation, she sought mentoring in the Holistic Health movement. After apprenticing with Dr. Ann Wigmore of Hippocrates Health Institute, Boston in 1978, she received concentrated  tutorials over the next 20 years from Hygienic Physicians including Dr. Douglas Graham, Dr. Alec Burton, Dr. DJ Scott, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, Dr. Alan Goldhamer, Dr. Keki Sidhwa, Dr. Virginia Vetrano, Dr. Frank Sabatino, and Dr. T. Colin Campbell.  A medically-supervised, month-long, therapeutic water fast was one of the greatest learning experiences of her life, proctored by Dr. David Scott  (www.fastingbydesign.net).

Pamela received certification in Colon-Hydrotherapy from Prime Pacific Health Innovations, Vancouver (www.thecolonet.net), in association with Boucher College of Naturopathic Medicine (www.binm.org).  She offers health-development classes and systemic detoxification at the Health Lyceum in Springvale, Maine (www.healthlyceum.com).

She is an advisor to, and founding vice-president of the New England Holistic Health Association (www.neshha.org); Board member of the National Health Federation (www.thenhf.com); retired board member and Life member of the National Health Association (www.healthscience.org); board member of Maine Wellness Group (www.mainewellnessgroup.org); past Commissioner of York County, Maine, and current Candidate for the Maine House of Representatives.

She and her husband, Doug, live in Springvale and are the parents of four young adult children.
